After . . .

  1. I'm sad that you will no longer be writing this blog. I looked forward to it probably for the same reason you wrote it. So sorry to hear about your losses. The Beatles are quite good at helping us forget even if it's only for an hour or two. Thank you for sharing your memories.

  2. Oh my gosh, Carol.....I am so heartbroken, and so sorry and sorry and think this beautiful blog, this beautiful gift you've given us comes from such a place of hurt and pain and sorrow... I would do anything to take that pain away. .I just hope doing this gave you as much joy as it gave me.

Reading these pages just now gave me chills, (my gosh your handwriting is impeccable!!!! Those nuns!!!)......realizing what this all was.....and then seeing your workspace and raw materials.....what an amazing work of art. All I can say is thank you, thank you over and over again. And how sorry I am that you are in grief.

These pages, and the people you write about, your family, your friends....they all are so alive, in everything you wrote. It's so vivid, they're so vivid. And they've achieve a sort of immortality in your work, they are frozen in time, in these gorgeous drawings, and in all these, you did a great job, you had me fooled! I read these pages, I'm right in the mind of the coolest 13-year old in North America.

I am not on Facebook! But I will leave my email here, especially if you're going to deactivate the blog: I will be sure to get the book, and when I do, it will be a treasured possession.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful project with us.

your friend and fan - Michael
